I live in the midwest in a highly conservative state and I have never had to travel further than 5 blocks or spend more than 10 minutes TOTAL voting. I’ve never even seen people waiting in a line and there have to be dozens of polling places in my town. My brother lives in the Embry Hills area. Got a text from him at 7:00 AM with a line two blocks long. He says it took 90 mins.

There really needs to be a constitutional amendment that forces the states to have a specific number of polling locations in an area for a certain population number (maybe 1 per 5000 people). People shouldn’t have to wait for hours in line for the ability to vote. As well, it should be mandatory for everyone to vote. That way the states are forced to ensure everyone gets the chance to take part in the Democratic process.
